WRITING ATTITUDE AND EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE AS DETERMINANTS IN BOOSTING EFL LEARNERS’ WRITING PERFORMANCE

This study aimed to find out whether or not there was a significant correlation between students’ writing attitude, emotional intelligence and their performance, the predictor variables criterion variable. It involved 121 students of English Education Study Programs Tridinanti, PGRI, Muhammadiyah Universities in Palembang. The data were collected through use Writing Attitude Questionnaire, Emotional Intelligence Questionnaire test. analyzed by using Pearson Product Moment coeficient partial analysis. results showed that correlations row attitude performance with r-obtained 0.342. There because value of.028 coefficient .140. intelligence, had r .280 p-value .001.
